Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades can increase the power of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capability in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item, such as armor, weapon or rings. This replaces the item with an identical item, but with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an economical method of upgrading equipment. They don't keep the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted won't get compensated.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. Players can reroll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power boost mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional amount of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item upgrading to a better quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays in the space until the next success result is rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
