The battery life was a bit longer than that of the AI Ultra's, and its overall performance at removing debris from a variety surfaces was excellent.

The only downsides of the Matrix is that it drains battery faster than other models and its pet hair-cleaning performance is inconsistent. The Matrix is still a good choice for homes with a lot of pets and it improves the AI Ultra in a few important ways. It feels considerably better built and recharges more quickly and has superior debris pickup on carpets with low pile. Additionally, the 'EcoMax' and 'Eco' modes offer a significant improvement over the AI Ultra's "Normal" mode.
